Nemo

It’s ironic how a word in Latin meaning “no one” is currently affecting everyone in New England. Nemo’s powerful gusts, heavy snow and angry squalls inspired us to concoct a cocktail incorporating potent Ouzo and snow-like crushed ice. When the harsh, Greek anise liquor hits the ice, it turns a stormy gray that mirrors the haze outside. Our concoction is a chilling yet warming beverage worth sipping while snowed in.
Lemon, Ouzo, and Ginger Cocktail

1 oz Ouzo
1 oz lemon juice
1/2 oz Simple Syrup

Crushed Ice
Ginger Ale

Pour the Ouzo, lemon juice, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake. Fill a cup with crushed ice and strain the shaken drink on top. Fill the glass with Ginger Ale. Garnish with lemon peel. Serves 1.

While stir crazy, we tend to test recipes so stay tuned!
